Who it helps

For anyone keeping a website running on top of a real job.

Business owners, marketers, communications people and teams. You could probably figure out the technical side. The question is whether it deserves your time.

Sound familiar?

  • You have a list of website changes and no time to make them.
  • Your developer moved on, and nobody’s sure how the site works.
  • Updates keep piling up, and you’re not sure what’s safe to click.
  • Something broke, and you don’t know who to call.
  • Your site works fine. You just want someone dependable behind it.
  • Your team edits content, but you want experts on the technical side.

What we do

The everyday work of keeping a website healthy.

One flexible service, shaped around your site. Here’s the kind of work it covers.

Content and page updates

New pages, event dates, staff changes, documents and PDFs, news posts. Send it over and we’ll put it up, checked and looking right.

Routine website changes

Adjusting a page layout, updating your navigation, small improvements as your needs change.

CMS and plugin upkeep

Your content management system, theme and plugins kept current, with updates tested so they don’t quietly break something.

Troubleshooting and support

When something isn’t working, we find out why and fix it, then tell you what happened in plain English.

Monitoring and coordination

We keep an eye on your site and work with your host, IT team or other vendors when something needs all of us.

Someone to ask

A question about your site, a second opinion before a change, advice on what’s worth doing next. You have people who can help.

How a request goes

You send it. We handle it. We tell you it’s done.

Here’s an example of a typical request, start to finish.

  1. YouRequest sent

“Can you post the new RFP and add it to the Opportunities page by Friday?”

  2. ContrastConfirmed

Confirm we have it, and ask about anything we need, like whether it should be on the homepage too.

  3. ContrastIn progress

Post it, link it, and check that the page and the PDF work on phones as well as computers.

  4. ContrastDone

“The RFP is live on the Opportunities page and linked from the homepage. Here’s the link.”

What to expect

Someone has to own it. We do.

  • A small team that knows your site. You won’t have to explain everything from the beginning each time.
  • Plain-English updates. What we did, what we found, and anything you should know.
  • A clear scope. We agree on what’s included before we start. Bigger projects get their own estimate and your approval.
  • You stay in control. It’s your website and your content. We handle the technical work.
  • Your hosting can stay put. We manage sites wherever they’re hosted.

Questions

Common questions

Can you manage a website you didn’t build?

Yes. A lot of the sites we look after were built by someone else. We start by reviewing how your site is built, where it’s hosted and what it needs, so we know the best way to support it. You don’t have to start over.

Do I have to move my hosting?

No. Website Management and hosting are separate services. Your site can stay with your current host while we manage it. If you’d like us to host it too, that’s Hosting & Care.

What’s included each month?

We agree on that together before we start, based on your site and what you need from us: the routine updates and changes you expect, the upkeep your site needs, and how we’ll handle support. Bigger projects, like a new section or a redesign, get their own estimate and your approval before any work begins.

How do I send you a request?

Use our support ticket form, or email the team you already work with. Either way, we’ll confirm we have it. You’ll find the support ticket form in the footer, under Clients.

Will I still be able to edit my site myself?

Of course. It’s your website. You decide what goes on it and when. If you’d like to make some updates yourself, we’ll show you how, and we’ll keep handling the technical side.

What if something breaks?

Things break. Plugins conflict, updates fail, a form stops sending. When something covered by your agreement needs attention, we’ll look into it, keep you posted and work to get it resolved.

If it falls outside what we’ve agreed on, we’ll tell you what we found and help you figure out the best next step.

What kind of websites do you manage?

We work with websites across all kinds of platforms. While WordPress is one of the most common, we’re happy to support whatever platform your website runs on. Tell us a little about your site, and we’ll figure out the best way to help.

Want your website off your to do list?

Tell us about your site and what keeps landing on your desk. We’ll talk through what we’d handle and what it would cost.
